Custom Blending Products

Custom blending is a valuable service that takes the headache out of mixing in the field while minimizing human exposure. It also prevents over or under application of the herbicides, and improves the overall efficiency of a spray operation.

Custom blending, as defined by the EPA, is the service of mixing two or more registered pesticides into the same container as long as the following conditions are met:

The blend is prepared to the order of the customer and is not held in inventory by the blender.
The blend is to be used on the customer's property (including leased or rented property).
The pesticide(s) used in the blend bears end-use labeling directions that do not prohibit use of the product in such a blend.
The blend is prepared from registered pesticides.
The blend is delivered to the end-user along with a copy of the end-use labeling of each pesticide used in the blend and a statement specifying the composition of the mixture.

Some examples of a custom blend include:

Foliar-Pre Mix

80% Accord Concentrate
10% Arsenal Powerline
10% Surfactant

Meaning that when the blend is added in the field; 5 gallons of premix is added to 95 gallons of water to give the applicator an end use rate of:

4% Accord Concentrate
½% Arsenal Powerline
½% Surfactant

Basal Blends

EP Basal Oil Plus w/ blue dye - 80% Garlon 4 Ultra - 15% Stalker - 2%
EP Base Oil- 75% Garlon 4 Ultra - 25%
Tolex PT1010 - 80% Garlon 4 Ultra - 10% TordonK - 10%

Not all of our products are compatible with one another in a blend. For that reason we test each blend for clarity, separation, crystallization, heat/cold stability, etc. We then keep each sample for three years to insure the customer is truly satisfied with the order.
